Alvaro Gonzalez

Alvaro is my birth name, but Disneylexya is the name by which I am known in the street art scene on the streets of Valencia and this is the name I have chosen to represent the idea of ​​graphic mutation based on the reinterpretation and mixing of ancient myths with my own symbolism.This exercise has resulted in an amalgam composed of the iconography of medieval European bestiaries, alchemical treatises, and native Latin American aesthetics. All of this is framed within graphic structures that bear a certain resemblance to the compositions and language used in popular Chilean muralism of the 1970s. My work develops in various plastic areas such as street art, painting on canvas, drawing, design, and a bit of sculpture.
