Lajla Fauconnet

I was born in Denmark and grew up in the southwest of France, where light and landscapes deeply shaped my artistic sensibility. I now live and work in the peaceful countryside of Burgundy, surrounded by nature that constantly inspires my creative process.

With a background in fashion illustration and printmaking, I used to design textile patterns before dedicating myself fully to painting and poetry. Today, my work explores dreamlike and poetic themes — a dialogue between imagination and emotion, between the inner world and nature’s quiet beauty.My style blends impressionist and expressionist influences, guided by intuition, color, and texture. Each painting is an attempt to capture fleeting sensations — moments where poetry meets paint, and the invisible becomes visible.
