Jerome Poumes

The world of painter and sculptor Jérôme Poumès is particularly energetic and powerful. His contrasting compositions, rich in nuance and strong volumes, evoke emotions and arouse fascination.
Listed by AKOUN, Jérôme Poumès exhibits regularly in France and abroad, including at the International Salon in Sarria, Spain, since 2011, and in Tokyo since 2013.
After obtaining a high school diploma with honors in philosophy and art history in Bayonne, he enrolled at the renowned Penninghen School of Interior Design, Communication, and Artistic Direction in Paris. He completed his studies at the equally renowned Académie Charpentier.
Jérôme Poumès also devotes himself to pictorial expression in various forms and techniques, particularly acrylic on canvas using a palette knife.
From figurative to abstract, via a certain form of expressionism, the painting of this academically trained artist has taken several directions.
Exploring the impact of light on objects
His creations draw their essence from his own experiences and his most intimate emotions. But Jérôme Poumès remains above all a “research artist,” an explorer always in search of unexplored creative territories.
