At the core of my practice is the search for moments when reality falters and the miraculous slips through. A blue horse born from a photographic aberration, or the giant shadow of a ghostly cat cast across a garden — such phenomena transform the familiar world into a “marvelous” one, opening space for a different way of seeing.
In my work, I gravitate toward mediums that preserve the energy of gesture: painting, watercolor, diatype, ceramics, and mixed techniques. My visual language deliberately draws on the archetypes of naïve and folkloric art. Through vivid colors and “imperfect” forms, I aim for an honest and immediate experience of vision. Yet behind this surface clarity lie complex themes: initiation, loss, and encounters with the shadowy layers of the psyche. For me, contact with the miraculous is not an escape from reality but a way to perceive its depth and fluidity.
My process often begins with notes in a sketchbook, which gradually grow into multilayered images weaving together reality, memory, and dream. The titles of my works — often phrased as questions — become a final gesture, an invitation for the viewer to recall their own encounters with the inexplicable.
