After graduating from high school, he decided to pursue a career as an artist. At the prestigious Institute of Fine Arts at Dhaka University, he completed his bachelors and masters degrees of fine art, specializing in drawing and painting. During his studies, he pursued opportunities to travel abroad to experience different cultures and artwork.
After graduating, Shazzad pursued a range of interesting commission projects that allowed him to work all over Bangladesh.
In 2011, he left to pursue a fellowship in Germany at Dusseldorf. He returned to Bangladesh with renewed inspiration to engage in the vibrant Dhaka art scene. His first solo exhibit, “Fin and Feathers,” to be held at the Alliance Francaise in March 2012 marks the beginning of this effort.
