Elena Tsenkova

Elena Tsenkova is a contemporary mosaic artist working with hand-cut marble, stone, and glass. Her practice transforms thousands of small fragments into expressive, emotionally charged compositions that merge ancient mosaic tradition with a modern, feminine sensibility.

Rooted in the philosophy that beauty emerges from fragmentation, her work explores themes of inner transformation, music, mythology, and quiet strength. Each mosaic is composed entirely by hand, following the natural rhythm of the materials and the flow of movement within the composition.

Elena developed her foundational technique under the guidance of mosaic artist Maria Mozartica in Baden-Baden, Germany, and later continued her artistic education in Ravenna, Italy — the historic heart of mosaic art. There, she deepened her exploration of texture, light, and contemporary approaches to this ancient medium.

Her mosaics are one-of-a-kind artworks created through a slow, meditative process, balancing precision and emotion. Designed for collectors and refined interiors, her works invite the viewer to pause, look closely, and discover harmony within each fragment.
