My work explores how the human face expresses what overflows: tensions, wounds, bursts of emotion, unspoken forces. I paint faces that don't present themselves; faces that emerge. For me, painting is not a space for description, but a space for impact. Each gesture is a trace, a movement held back or released, an attempt to capture an emotion before it vanishes.
The material plays an essential role: it vibrates, spreads, saturates, contradicts, breathes. I use direct, rapid, almost instinctive tools so that the energy of the gesture remains visible. The portrait then becomes an inner landscape, a frozen cry, a luminous fracture. I seek a raw truth, an unapologetic tension.
My references are many: architecture, which structures my composition; poetry, which nourishes the flaws and the images; literature, which opens up narrative spaces; And everyday life, where these moments of rupture that I try to capture are born.
Each painting is an encounter, sometimes direct, often fragile. An attempt to look at humanity without artifice.
