I paint to make presence visible, My work is grounded in traditional, manual painting methods: layered pigment, visible brushwork, and the slow accumulation of decisions over time. Each surface carries the record of hesitation, insistence, and instinct—nothing is automated, nothing is delegated to a machine.
I am drawn to quiet tensions: the space between tenderness and restraint, memory and forgetting, intimacy and distance. Figures, animals, landscapes, and symbolic forms appear in my work not as illustrations of stories, but as archetypes—containers for emotion, vulnerability, and strength.
I reject digital shortcuts and generative technologies. For me, painting is not an image-production process but a physical, time-bound encounter between body, material, and attention. The slowness matters. The resistance of the surface matters. The fact that each work exists only once, in one place, matters.
My paintings invite you to stand close, to notice the edges of a brushstroke, the weight of a color, the way light settles into a textured field.
