My art work contains to a large extent psychological topics with my particular view of life. In my own kind of surrealism I try to express the irrational, not controllable beyond the appearance of human faces with the help of associative thoughts and psychoanalytic investigations of the unconscious and the phantasmagoria.
In general my portraits are plane fractionalized and extremely distorted, without losing the basic character of the respective personality completely. Due to emphasizing particular areas of the faces, additional side profiles can be noticed, which often appear bizarre and cubistic. This results in multilayered overall impressions. Those stylistic devices and the plentiful use of more or less strongly abstracted allegories and symbolisms will possibly complicate an immediate approach and understanding of my pictures.
