Rauni Luqman

I was born in Finland but have spent most of my life in England.
I started my art studies in Finland and went on to study Fine art in England to a professional level.
My current work has been greatly influenced by my Finnish background and especially my experiences during the war. I have always had very strong feelings when I see other people suffer injustice, oppression and occupation.
The way in which my work is represented is the only way I feel able to make it stand out loud and clear.
Different themes inevitably require different methods of expression.
