Roxy Herve

Although I'm a French citizen, born in Paris in 1990, I grew up mostly in London and Houston Texas.
Like for so many, my first artistic emotions came from visiting museums, music, cinema and quite extensive travelling. Those formative years have impregnated my own universe with a whole set of lights, colours and textures.
I first started "getting into" the art world by using painting , and it gradually became a key way of self expression and communication
My foundation year at Camberwell College of Arts and Design, allowed me to experiment my own styles and ways of expression, be it painting or film.
Currently studying at Central St Martin's, I further developed my techniques and confirmed my passion for film and painting in a very stimulating environment.
Colourful as it may be, my painting is often grim and sombre, a mere reflexion of the world surrounding us, a world where stratling opposits are never far from one another.
