John Hobbs

I'm a fine artist using both physical and digital materials. I live and work in Nine Elms, South London.

I was drawn to art and in particular the freedom of abstraction as a world apart, without convention; a world liberated from rules.

I’m continually searching and learning, pushing further with each painting in my desire to produce something extraordinary.

The two transformative years I spent in Blackpool studying Foundation Art opened my mind and filled me with passion. A Fashion BA at Middlesex followed where I enjoyed the technical process and the design to product journey. I then studied photography seduced by the magic of the processes and the excitement of instant image creation, firstly a City and Guilds then a Post Graduate Diploma in Digital Lens Based Image Making at London College of the Arts.

Both as an artist, and for many years a keen photographer, I've held and contributed to many exhibitions in London.
