Artist Statement

I am an instrument of purposes that I dont fully understand; but at its heart my work is a celebration of impulsive, nonchalant drawing brought to an epic proportion. I have often tried to talk about my painting but writing or talking about it is only an approximation as painting is its own language and is not translatable in words.I am influenced by everything, anything that contains the original energy of joy; such as Rock and Roll, Symphony Music, Jazz, etc., but not by anyone.I look at everything. And everything I see gets ground up very fine this includes feelings, phrases, an evening out with friends; all this is stored and remains in my mind until all the particles or pieces that can be united; form a new compound and are presented. Yet, now and then I see a single performer doing something with a natural excellence it can be a waitress in some cheap caf or a 3rd string quarterback coming off the bench with 24 seconds left on the clock and completing that winning 60 yard pass which lets me believe that the possibility of a miracle is here with us almost every day and Im glad that now and then some 3rd string quarterback shows me the truth of that belief whe...
