Grace Huang

Grace Huang is a Melbourne - based contemporary artist. She was born in Guangzhou, China, where she studied at the Guangzhou Academy of Fine Arts and graduated with a Bachelor degree in Fine Arts and Art education. She moved to Australia in 1988. She spent full time in her professional artistic adventures and development since 2003. From 2006 to 2008 and 2011, she has spent some time in China each year researching ancient Chinese painting and contemporary art.

Painting to her is a way for her to express her thoughts and emotions, her creative idea comes from the ordinary life that can be attracted to her with senses, she is interested in exploring the depth of meaning behind the scene. For some of her recent artworks, she was interested in focusing on humane care and the issues being ignored by the social reality around, she has thought that in a way it’s exploring our world from a different point of view. She has expressed her paintings in a realistic style, but the creative theme which included conceptual ideas, and unique compositions were contemporary, she has been adventured and developing a new way for exploring art today.
