Luigi Cau, stage name Gigi Cau, was born in Sassari the 16 April 1956 and lives and works in Sassari, (Phone Mobile +39 3407875049).rnSince he was a boy he was attracted by drawing and painting. In 1993, influenced by looking a Klimts canvas, he felt at first the need to collect works of art and, on the way, to express his hidden emotions through painting. Now he wants the public enjoy too these vibrant emotions seeing his paintings.rn
The art of Gigi Cau, a young Sardinian artist, is identified as realitys emotional and spiritual experience, and is particularly characterized by a strong chromatic accentuation and an incisive sign.
The artist, as a man, wants to express his subjective world in shapes and colours, using a light bodies deformation of and a tones exasperation.
The representations look very suggestive and rich of content, assuming a symbolic nature: for example, theres a constant presence of coloured faces, painted with imagination from a graphic and colour point of view, that is an unmistakable mark in Gigi Caus art and defines his exclusive character and style.

On December 2004 he took part in the first international competition of graphic and painting Bo gaining the artistic merits certificate for the importance of his message, concealed by a positive aesthetic representation.
