Shen Florence

I was born in Singapore dated 1941. I had been managing an art & crafts Company in Singapore since 1958 and has been exposed to the traditional Chinese fine arts and antiques from an early age. My many connections with collectors of antiques from all over the world have let me find my true vocation: That is to Creat Art.My interest in art span a wide field. It is this versatility which makes my works so interesting be they traditional Chinese paintings, more surrelistic works on canvas or collage with usage of navel materials. I started early on with capturing the human forms on canvas, moved on to cartoon drawing and portraiture. Then widened my field and added collage, Chinese brush painting, calligraphy, seal engraving, scroll mountaing and enamel firing painting on matel. I like to experiment and makes good refreshing use of various mediums in my contemporary paintings. My creativeness and surreness in different techniques and styles make my works attractive to a wide segment of different clienteles. Most of my works were inspired from travelling throughout different parts of the world have left an indelible impression on me.My collages are the result of an unusal conglomeration of materials, such as rice papers, silk, news...

Into my 60 now, I have exhibited in over 80 joint exhibitions throughout Asia such as Hongkong, China,Taiwan, Japan, Korea,Australia, Sri-Lanka and Malaysia.
