Alfie Wishart

After graduation with a BFA in photography, I wanted to continue learning but did not want to go to graduate school. I chose instead to move to Austin, Texas and study with Gary Winogrand who, at that time, was teaching at UT Austin. What I learned was worth the effort. Shortly thereafter, life happened--kids, moving to Dallas, etc. and photography took a back seat. In 2002, I went to Europe with my older daughter and decided to shoot, for the first time, in color. I liked what happened and have continued since. I have found that photography is something I must do; it is a part of my life.
