Anne Scheer

I have painted the visually rich Maine shores and woodlands for fifty-some seasons. Wisconsin born, I paint closely observed nearscapes in oils (for their flow, richness and color). Water in all its permutations fiqures repeatedly in my work. I admire Neil Welliver for observation, Louis Dodd for composition, and Jill Hoy for exuberance of color. My work can be found in private collections throughout the U.S.
