Wendy Laverick (Wendy Thompson)
United Kingdom
Wendy Laverick is a British artist based in Gloucestershire, creating atmospheric landscape paintings and expressive animal artworks inspired by the River Severn, the Wye Valley and surrounding countryside.
Working primarily in pen, ink and paint, her pieces are often developed from sketches made on location, capturing movement, character and a strong sense of place. Her animal works are known for their warmth and personality, while her landscapes reflect a calm, natural atmosphere.
Her work is collected for its ability to bring a sense of connection, character and tranquillity into the home.
Sketching and observing from life remains at the heart of her practice.
