Claire Laporte

Claire Laporte manifests her fascination with the perpetual transformation and juxtaposition of urban space and landscape. Her brush convert to create a poetic and personnal interpretation of environnemental places.
In 1983 she graduated from Ecole des Arts Appliqués de Paris and worked as a graphic designer. In 1990 she moved to the US where she dicovered the painting of Edward Hopper while working in multimedia and executing wall frescos in public space. In 1995 back to Paris and devoted herself to painting. She has two exhibitions per year in Paris of her work. Recently Claire Laporte changed mediums and switch for watercolors and pay more attention to describe landscape. A different technic for the same topic.
