I was born in Kalamata, Greece, but moved to Britain in my teens where I was educated and worked as theatre designer in British repertory theatres. I lived in the UK mainly London for many years, but now I live in Athens Greece, dedicated to the Arts, painting and poetry.
I consider painting a science delving deep into the unknown bringing to light truths not conceived by the ordinary mind. The painter is a poet, a creator and my paintings comprise music and poetry. Like a music composer composes music, I compose colours and shapes and my paintings are often poetic allegories delivering a message to the spectator. I think painting should have a message to deliver, often a strong one. I draw my inspiration from Cosmos in its wide sense but often social and political matters are my concern which I am trying to convey in my paintings.
I studied painting at the West of England College of Art Bristol, Theatre Design at the Old Vic Theatre School Bristol, and Philosophy at University College London
Since 2012 I have been mainly occupied with the art of painting. I have participated in several international Art Exhibitions. London Biennale 2013 and 2015. La Galleria Gallery and Royal Opera Gallery London, Art Monaco 2014, at Monte Carlo, Paris Art Code at Grant Palais Paris 2014, Vienna The spirit of art returns to Vienna at Moya Museum, Chianciano Museum of modern Art Italy Biennale 2013, Palermo Biennale and Florence Italy 2014 & 2015, Oxford Art Fair 2015, Solo exhibition at Art Kolonaki Athens 2014, Athens National Gallery 1986. Unesco Arts Festival of Kefalonia, Zakynthos and Ithaca, Greece, 2015 and 2016
