My road to finding ceramics was quite a long one. I bounced around quite a bit, dissatisfied with my career paths. Then after spending a few years studying fashion design in Paris, I moved back to my beautiful city of Vancouver. Here I discovered a deep love for working with clay and my true passion - sculpting. How did I not discover this before? No idea, but thank goodness that I did, I really could not live without it. Inspired by fashion illustrations and black and white photography, I began experimenting with different modes of creating wall art - from creating bas reliefs, to carving out designs and inlaying them with either glass or different coloured clays to create some truly original pieces. My fascination with form and sculpture has also led me to begin creating on a much smaller scale, in the form of wearable art aka jewelry.
