I am a third generation self-taught artist living near the shores of Lake Couchiching just north of Orillia, Ontario. My artistic influences are my Mother, Edith Frazer Post and Grandmother, Margaret A. Frazer, both Oil Landscape Artists.
I find great joy in painting nature scenes from here at home in Lake Country, north to Muskoka and even more northern places like Parry Sound and Magnetewan. I also find great satisfaction losing myself in the abstract realms.
I am a member of the Peter Street Fine Arts Gallery in Orillia, a member of CARFAC, The Huronia Foundation for the Arts. A member of the Quest Museum and the Orillia Museum as well as the Orillia Fine Arts Association, where I am currently serving on the Executive Committee as Secretary.
I paint in watercolour, acrylics and oils with many pieces currently on display in Orillia and area. Watercolour are a favourte of mine. I love watching the ebb and flow and how one can achieve the values so effortlessly. My other interests include playing jazz and classical piano, writing books of fiction and poetry. I am a prolific artist and consummate student. I paint simply put, forever practicing, discovering new techniques and perfecting my craft.
