James Franssen

Born 1965 in Maryland. Currently a charcoal artist in Oregon.

I learned to appreciate the power of charcoal the very first time I used it as a medium. The simplicity and economy of charcoal and paper provide the kind of challenge I desire, and usually end up very happy with the outcome.

I have an Associates in Electronic Graphics, and have worked extensively in 3D computer animation for a major name gaming company. I have become more interested in traditional art, and I am just beginning a new path in that direction.,
