I shoot intuitively. For me, it’s in the editing process where the true intentions of a photograph are uncovered. Whatever ideas I initially had are stripped away and replaced with the finished frame. Then if a shot works, it works. But it’s never in the way I anticipated. Hopefully something deeper and more subconscious has come to the surface. That's ultimately what I’m looking for, a pleasant surprise that reveals an element of truth.
