Juan Domingues

Juan Daniel Domingues, born 29 May 1981 in Puerto Cabello, Venezuela.

Juan Daniel attended ARCA|EUAC University Arts School of Coimbra from 2001, where he studied sculpture, ceramics, drawing, design and painting. Here Juan Daniel showed a particular interest and ability in drawing and painting and starts to focus on this as medium. In 2007 he graduates and starts seeking for particular different cultures and micro-cultures for his paintings, embrassing the dramatic visual expression of the face and the body, like in a mirror, seeking himself in the body of the models that he works with.

Today his work has been selected by numerous art prizes and is part of some corporate and private collections, like museums, embassy's and foundations.

Juan Daniel lives and works in Coimbra, Portugal.
