Peter Plopeanu

Peter Plopeanu is a Romanian artist born in the small village of Racovita, Romania. He studied history and philosophy at the University of Bucharest and later on took a job as a high school teacher. Renowned author, with an impressive number of published articles and books, he is also a book graphic designer, painter and sculptor.
He is concerned with the transfer of graphic designs into oil or tempera paintings and bronze molded sculptures.His artworks are an amalgam of surrealist and abstract influences, with metaphorical overtones descending from his poems.
Peter is a thematic creator; each of his pieces is like a small fragment of a complex saga describing the avatars of existence.
