He studied painting and graduated in 1984 at the Fine Arts and Design University of Cluj Napoca, Romania. Aside painting he has worked since 2001 as an industrial designer in Ceramics. He is a founding member and from 2012 the Vice-president of the Romanian Artists' Union (UAP).
