Monica Lowenberg

Mexico City was the place where I was born and raised. I remember that I was barely 5 years old when I used to take drawing classes on a cardboard with little ones like me, in fact, that was the starting point of my relationship with materials, such as charcoal, pencils and crayons.
Painting, drawing and materials became an essential motif in my life. I studied Graphic Design, a profession that enriched my knowledge of spaces, shapes and colors; which later helped me to develop a specific pictorial language expressed through my artwork, highlighting the primary colors followed by the secondary ones.
Achieving the bridge between the viewer and me is my passion; making you feel the sublime of the Being with strokes of warmth and simplicity.
My desire to grow and develop myself made me a self-taught Artist, and confirmed my taste for oils which later gave me a way to a unique contemporary style.

I have exhibited my work in different places: cultural spaces, galleries, universities and museums in Europe, the United States of America and Mexico, such as the Museum of Modern Art in the Capital City.
My work is part of private collections in Mexico and abroad.
In 2008, I was certified as "Miembro del Seminario de Cultura Mexicana...

I graduated as Graphic Designer, a profession which helped me cross a bridge to get into the world of colors and shapes.
