Studio Life & Artist Practice in San Miguel de Allende
Situated at Casa Aurora in the historic Centro District of San Miguel de Allende, Reilly’s studio is both a workspace and exhibition venue, fostering an intimate setting for studio viewings and creative exchange. He continues to produce large-scale paintings in the vein of mid‑century abstraction while offering an immersive experience that bridges local and international artistic traditions.

San Miguel de Allende is a UNESCO World Heritage center known for its artistic communities and colonial architecture. Reilly's presence in San Miguel reflects the city’s vibrant tradition of international artists and visual culture. His studio + gallery is open to the public 11-5pm everyday except Wednesday and in person meetings are welcomed.

Reilly is also known for his large scale commissioned artwork and murals for architectural and interior environments. He is now represented by art advisors in Paris, San Francisco, Mexico City and San Miguel de Allende who are available for consultation.

Myke Reilly is an abstract modernist whose formal training spans two of the most respected art institutions in the Americas—the San Francisco Art Institute, a crucible of avant-garde experimentation, and Instituto Allende in San Miguel de Allende, Mexico, a renowned hub for global art education.
Mentored early by mid-century desert painter Jerry Reilly, he developed a rigorous foundation in painting before expanding into sculpture, filmmaking, and electronic sound installations. His work has intersected with San Francisco’s vibrant cultural and technological movements, including collaborations with notable contemporaries such as Rex Ray and contributions to the Gnomon installation at the San Francisco Museum of Modern Art.

Reilly’s current large-scale abstract paintings are recognized for their bold, expressive forms and have garnered strong interest from designers and collectors internationally. Living between Buenos Aires and San Francisco, he continues to produce work that resonates in both private and public spaces.

This stands out as a critical intersection of his sound design roots and artistic expression.

Reilly participated in this invitational exhibition at Radian Gallery, which ran from November 7 to December 14, 2024. The show featured portrait-oriented works exploring identity, emotional depth, and resilience—demonstrating Reilly’s versatility within a broader contemporary context .

Abstrax – Radian Gallery, San Francisco.

Also at Radian Gallery, Abstrax was a group exhibition co-curated by Joseph Abbati that spotlighted emerging and mid-career Bay Area artists engaging experimental forms of abstract expressionism. Reilly’s inclusion underscores his role in the evolving Bay Area abstraction movement
