Anne Vandycke

Anne Vandycke is a Belgian artist living and working in New York. Vandycke is best known for her minimalist abstract oil painting and her sense of color and composition that transforms shapes and lines into a free movement and an energetic state of change. The transition from one state to another and the movement is what bring her art to life. The freedom of the brushstroke and the precision of the composition makes the work intense, always seeking to make the imagination travel through emotion, which is for her the essence of Art.

Anne Vandycke studied Art in New York at Columbia University in an Advanced Intensive Painting Program, at the National Academy School & Museum in the Studio Art Intensive Program and Graphic Design at the Parsons, The New School. Before, she attended Universities in Belgium and France and earned Masters degrees in Economic Field. This background has influenced her painting and has given a certain strength to her work.
