Scott Shaver

Scott Shaver is a photographer / artist living in Fresno, California. He has been involved in the arts for nearly 30 years and has exhibited extensively in galleries and museums throughout the west. For most of this time his emphasis has been in Photography. Still shooting film, he is one of the last traditional photographers and makes most of his images on 4' x 5' sheet film. His images have been exhibited more than 175 times and he has had more than 35 one person exhibitions.

He has taught a number of workshops including figurative and travel workshops. His studio workshops include courses on exhibition quality printing and processing for permanence.

For the past few years Scott has been branching out from his photography and is working towards a degree in art. He is currently taking classes at Fresno City College and will move on to Fresno State later this year to complete a Master of Arts degree. Now he finds a great interest in printmaking and art history and is taking a painting class and course in Adobe Illustrator.

During his years at college, Scott completed nearly a dozen photography courses and has taken numerous photographic workshops from noted photographers.

Scott's work has been exhibited more than 175 times in galleries and museums throughout the west. He has had more than 35 one person exhibitions including exhibitions at the Fresno Art Museum, the Fresno Metropolitan Museum, the Tulare Historical Museum, the Kings Art Center, the Merced Multicultural Art Center, and the Antelope Valley Museum of Art. Scott has participated in groups exhibitions at the Crocker Art Museum, the University of Oregon Museum of Art, the Yosemite National Park Museum of Art, and Spectrum Gallery.
