Marcia K Hales

From her family home in Farmington, Michigan and where things made by hand were revered, Marcia began painting. She studied Art in High School, College, and after receiving an MFA in Painting, she moved to California and became actively involved with The San Diego Art Institute as an exhibiting Artist and Board Member.
Marcia moved to Northern Michigan in 2002 to help family, and there she was offered many exhibitions including Crooked Tree in Petoskey, Higher Art Gallery in Traverse City, Elizabeth Lane Oliver Center for the Arts, Pines of Arcadia Gallery, and Twisted Fish Gallery in Elk Rapids where her work continues to be represented.
Marcia has made her home in Detroit since 2020 for greater cultural involvement, to paint, and to exhibit her work. She is currently a member of the Detroit Artists Market and the Grosse Pointe Art Association where she instructs workshops involving Abstract and Non-Representational Art.
