Priscilla Phifer

A creative professional, I have been told that I have a penchant for identifying and enhancing beauty in the seemingly mundane. I bring colors to life in floral arrangement, decoupage, paint, interior design, tablescaping, and other arts and crafts.

Challenged by my family at age 69 to see what I could do with painting, I took two six-week, all day, weekly art classes in abstract acrylic painting, which began in October 2014 at the Birmingham-Bloomfield Art Center (BBAC), Birmingham, MI. In the spring of 2015, I began taking eight-week classes at Birmingham’s The Community House (TCH), where I began to soar. Needless to say, I have been painting virtually every day since. And on May 17, 2015, my husband, son and bonus daughter (daughter was living overseas at the time, but she purchased a painting) sponsored my inaugural art at age 70. Much to our surprise, nearly all my 30 paintings sold! A year later, I had a second art show at the newly established MASH Detroit Art Series Gallery in June 2016, another success. Most of the unsold paintings remained on exhibit into fall 2016.
