My name is Maurizio Zuccarini, I was born in Tuscany the 9 January 1957 and I live in Switzerland close to Lugano.
In my life I had the chance to live, to experience an to grow in many different town and countries, that helped me to grow personally and culturally The places that have influenced  more my life are Switzerland, Italy, but also USA, UK and France.
Since childhood I was attracted to the visual arts as a language to express myself and territory of creative research. Later, as a teenager, I  added to painting also the passion for literature.
My early artworks started since childhood discovering and using pastels, pencils, watercolors and oils evolved soon  to acrylic and mixed materials.
I used also metal and other materials as stones and wood recovered from the sea, but my focus was and is always on colors on canvas and wood inserting other materials as  chalk, paper, plexiglas.
In parallel I worked as journalist and then in media and entertainment and my career was and is the visionary innovator in production, content models, editorial projects and distribution platforms.
I never stopped my artwork activities and I always sold a large part of them.
My artwork production is large and those, more or less documented...

Art is an attitude to life.
In the meantime my formation was high school and university.

I decided to stop to exhibit in galleries with my last exhibition in Bern in 1998.
My most important exhibitions have taken place during the ’80 and ’90 mainly in Italy and Switzerland in galleries and in other exhibition spaces public and private.
In these years two important gallery were interested to represent my artworks, one in Paris and another in New York, but I wasn’t ready to follow that kind of evolution of my artistic work . That happened probably because I didn’t like the market system as it was and I lived that as a limitation of my creativity, freedom and autonomy.
