Dré Didderiëns

I've been a photographer for more than twenty-five years.
I always kept my photos for myself just to be totally free from influences by others. Just recently I decided to show and share my work which resulted in two exhibitions, named below.
The favorite camera I like to work with is my Leica M8.

I spent eleven years abroad (Ireland, Germany, Turkey), where I was active in photography and visual arts.
Back in Holland I realized my debut film "Through the streets by train / Trains and rabbits", for which I won the Film Festival of Gorinchem.
Since then I have produced and directed documentaries and short films.
From a social commitment I want to bring people closer to the sometimes harsh and brutal reality.
I want to create confusion, so people will be confronted with themselves. I am also contrary and never afraid of the unknown. The refusal to make concessions is my creed. What I create is always close to my imaginative and emotional world.
