Krum Kostov, born 1952

He creates drawings and paintings from the heart. He expresses himself in the figurative style, his subjects are mainly women and nudes. He uses oil and watercolor to create them. The artist is a lover of feminine. He says for himself “I try to find the feminine in every woman, no matter how much she reveals”. He paints women as he sees them, seductive, provocative, sometimes shy but always allure. He uses soft tones and shades to give his characters the daydreaming effect and mysteriousness every woman possesses. In his paintings, the women are the object of desire and hidden longing. The artist, a graduate of the Academy of Fine Arts in Sofia, Bulgaria, lives and works there. It is important to note, that his desire since childhood was to become a painter. He was then taken by the Impressionism and this remains his favourite art movement. The artist believes that art has no boundaries and limits, it is the core of his life existence.
