What started as a way of meditation soon became a passion – the passion to create a beautiful experience for the eye. Although some of my works are in black and white, my love affair is with colour – bright and expressive. I love the contrast between using different colours and to see how they can also complement each other.
My work consists of different patterns that flow into each other, each being created as the work progresses. Although I start with a broad outline of my picture, I never know where the patterns will take me and therefore I never have a specific end result in mind. And THAT uncertainty creates so much excitement that it prevents me from putting down my pen. Creating these works leave me with a sense of focus and well-being. Each creation is a personal journey.
I use a wide variety of mediums including copic markers, Indian Ink PITT artist pens, permanent markers and Posca paint pens.
