Victoria Clothier

I am Bristolian. Born and still live there. I have a shop unit in a famous indoor market in Bristol - St. Nicholas Market. I started selling my paintings on a stall outside the main market on corn street part time. I then progressed to inside and have been working as a full time artist since 2013. It will be 10 years in November this year - 2023. It has been a struggle but I don't give up easily. My style has changed over the years. Now working in a more illustrative style, though I still do other work with the palette knife working in acrylic paint but also oils, and also pen/ink. I do scenes of Bristol, Bath and Cornwall. But also working towards including other places.

I am mostly self-taught but in 2009 I did a Btec course in Art, design and media followed by a foundation course in the same subjects. I have done and loved art since a small child.

I have entered various competitions and was accepted into the Sue Ryder exhibition at the Mall Galleries London some years ago. More recently I had an exhibition in Cass art Bristol.
