Leonardo Vilela

I was born in 1963 in the city of Rio De Janeiro.After working 3 1/2 years as assistant of two great Brazilian photographers , I travelled Paris to acquire theoretical knowledge in photograph. It was in Paris that I had my first contact with images in 3D applied to the photograph and a professional boarding of post-production.
As soon as I came back to Brazil, 3 years after to have travelled for Paris, I established the Platinum studio in 1993. Since then, the Platinum studio comes acting in the world-wide advertising market and getting many prizes and recognition.

Platinum is a mixture of some artistic veins: we have designers, illustrators , CGI artists and a photographer. I'm the photographer. I was fascinated for photograph since I was fourteen years old and, until today, I never stopped to study photograph. I am fascinated by the Romantic painters of nineteen century and by the photographers of the Pictorialism movement. It's there that it's my source of inspiration.

I followed the superior course of Biology, after that the superior course of Architecture and finally the superior course of Beaux Arts specialization in scenography. But photography I learned by my own.,
