Claudia Boese

Claudia Boese has lived and worked in London, Berlin, the Baltic island of Ruegen, Ireland, Spain and Poland. Since 2002 Claudia Boese has been based in the English coastal county of Suffolk.

"I am concerned with the painterly process itself, and of course pointing towards ideas of abstraction and their own materiality. My repetition of form is an outcome of my search for particularity. I am inspired by the work of neglected women painters particularly in the field of abstraction."
