Albert Tártaro

My name is Albert Tartaro, I am Uruguayan. I was born in 1978 in Montevideo, as a child lived in the countryside but since I was twelve years oldI had been living in the capital.
Like many I guess, one way or another we have been linked different forms of artistic expression since childhood, in my case I could say that the drive shaft of my artistic life has been music, live playing and basically teach my instrument, the guitar . Anyway as a single form of expression was never enough and write songs, poetry, a story has helped me a lot to get closer to the reality around me and help me think. But the painting also generates reflections, returnes and creates emotions related to my inner world of course, but this world is changing and changing when Interact with others and observing my arround.
I deeply believe that art, far beyond our rational and linear discourse understanding, gives us the possibility to analyze in different planes whatever that interest us and is a good and large mirror to look at us. So composing a song, a musical piece, make a simple drawing or writing a story is not a simple hobbie for me, a mere entertainment, there is a return to the work that goes revealing things in us until we passed to another, but ...

Once I finished secundary school, I studied History in order to become a secundary school teacher but becouse of the way I think education need to be and the way the educational system is I choose not to be part of it.
I studied music with some great proffesor but for my own, I started working at the age of forteen so I was able to afford things I like. For example, paintings, brushes, canvases, discs, guitars, pedas, amplfiers, guitarr classes with Amilcar Rodriguez or Horacio Olivera in Tango music. May be what I am exposing here is irrelevant, but we were in a huge economical crisis here adn teh facer that I had certain artistics skils or inclinations with a little of mony was enoght to do certains things tht make and mark my education but outside the system. For my own, wiht others. Will describe here that one huge oportunity to learn from otheres and with others was doing. For example pirate radio during 2002 to 2006, news program for the neithbour and cultural programs for the neighbour. When T.V, and comercial radio was totally irrelevant for us. Using, Internet, nwspapers from other countries etc. I could convine the street with the academical "knowdlage" of the Education Institution, theoretical, and praxis.
