Vladimir Popov

The British Artist Vladimir Popov was born in Bulgaria where he studied and completed his Master's degree at the National Academy of Fine Arts and lives and works in London. He has painted oil portraits on canvas of all the Bulgarian Patriarchs of the Orthodox Church since 15 A.D. including the one before the last one- Patriarch Maxim of Bulgaria who died on the sixth of November 2012, displayed in the Headquarters of the Bulgarian Church in Sofia. He has painted several murals in the UK, Germany, and Bulgaria. He has also painted hundreds of religious icons on wood for many years and his inspiration for doing that has been transformed into abstract oil paintings under the influence of the icon.

Master of Arts-National Academy of Fine Arts-Sofia/Bulgaria/, High School of Architecture-Plovdiv/Bulgaria. In his career as an artist has painted a lot of religious icons on wood, murals, portraits(oil, pastel, pencil), oil paintings, such as landscapes, and real, surreal, and abstract paintings.
