Conor Mccreedy

Artist and entrepreneur Conor Mccreedy produces expressionistic paintings. Living between New York City, Europe and Southern Africa. His success in the art world at an early age has drawn the interest of international curators, gallery owners, collectors and established artists. His works combine exclusive treasured pigments with the most superior Belgian linens, characterized equally by audacity and heritage. Mccreedy’s pioneering style has redefined the way contemporary art is collected, created and perceived. A Mccreedy creation is evocative, powerful and alluring. The blue pigment known as Mccreedyblue conveys a sense of ambiguity. It is a unique substance out of which almost elemental water emerges. Mccreedy has said, “I associate blue with intelligence, unity, and stability, the raw power and mysterious void of the ocean is my inspiration, the equalizer of mankind. Tides of creation are painted and put into motion by pure adrenaline.” Subjects range from abstract images of the ocean to figurative renderings of women and African animals, painted on surfaces that include linen, wooden boards and canvases. Mccreedy has recently begun to work in sculpture.
