Adrian Bell

Born the 11th of May 1978 (Same day and month as the great Salvador Dali), in south london.Art is an integral part of my existence.I have always been attracted to portraying celebrities in my unique and unorthodox manner. I was fascinated by the classical images of Bob Marley who died on my birthday 11th May 1981 who was a freedom fighter whom I admired greatly. My 3D creations focus on the elements of the images that appeared striking to me throughout my childhood. Playing with a wide range of mixed media to feed the never-ending craving of my childlike magpie eye which is attracted to vibrant, colourful, shiny and translucent mediums to create magical works of art My childhood was the catalyst for my artistic creations and inspirations. My mothers sister, Aunty Cheryl was a very talented fantasy painter who created some beautiful pieces. I spent a lot of time watching her work and memories of those visions continue to linger in the corridors of my mind I believe art is an integral gift and cannot be taught.
