Malcolm Bilton

I started making "art" at school, worked in Rep Theater and ended up, after a couple years at Tech college, at Uni. After graduating in physical sciences I did the usual academic rounds and ended up a PhD working in Oz. Not a bad place to earn a living, but it is a very long way to travel from and, it's not Europe no matter how you spin it.

I've been making stuff wherever I've lived and exhibited when possible - sometime winning a prize.

These days I travel to-from Oz to Europe, via Japan, every year for 5-6 months to get a re-injection of Kulture. I generally, base myself in South Yorkshire - it's central, has excellent travel links and is generally a friendly place to live in.

Lots and lots ... maybe too much!
