My name is Christabel Dunham and I work under the name "Miss Vincent"

WHO IS MISS VINCENT?
Alkaline Trio will tell you that the stars at night are big and bright deep in my eyes and that I am the Queen of Pain. HOWEVER I share nothing more than my name with that Queen. I once thought I was Banksey in a Tyler Durton kinda way then I realized that I was just Batman and no one was really bothered. During in the day though when I am not out fighting crimes on the streets of Gotham City I am a 32 year old Fine Art graduate.

Remember when you were little and you were convinced that you could see faces in the dark? Scared of monsters under the bed? Convinced there are faces in the shadows? When the human brain is presented with a complex pattern / a mass of darkness / clouds in the sky we will seek to see a human face, something recognizable to us. My work is about all of the above. Its about taking an image and stripping it back to black lines. Its about pop culture. Its about me being told I was incapable of GCSE art.

I'm influenced by EVERYTHING, right down to the annoying gum stuck to the bottom of an exam desk. Music is my muse, Gaga is my mother, Bowie is my father and The Smiths are my cool art school friends. I wan...

I graduated from the University of Hull in 2002 with a 2:2 in Fine Art and Art History and I continue to keep up to date with the latest programmes and industry standards.
