Andrea Mountaine

I come from a fine art background and am now into graphic design.

For a graphic design assignment at university I needed produce a photographic calendar and then create the layout. I also know about stop animation, working with Dragon Frame and editing in Premiere Pro.I learned about branding/advertising and I have designed marketing collateral for a mental health charity. Personal projects include producing greeting cards, Jewellery and hand painting mugs for a few years.

Some of my paintings depict locations in Portugal (e.g Cascais, Azoia ,Sintra and Lisbon). Also, I enjoy working on other subject matters such as animals, ones related to the U.K and using different medium such as watercolour, acrylics and oils. My earlier works are etchings, screen prints and abstract oil paintings. I want to continue printmaking and I am also keen in pursuing with photography.

In 2007 I participated in a group project alongside Antony Gormely to produce part of the setting for the channel 4 film 'Margate Exodus.' we were given a lorry container (40ft long) and had to turn it into a church made from recycled goods.

My work for my fine art degree was about rhizome formations (Latin name for root and term used by the philosopher Deleuze.) ...
