Bec Vandyk

I'm a mixed media artist, working with themes of motherhood and being female. I also regularly commit to community art events as a performer or guest artist, and often as a facilitator. I create art journaling sessions that energise emerging art makers, to both increase their skills and techniques, but that also inspire them toward a mindfulness approach to aid in their mental health and wellbeing. I was awarded a Regional Arts Victoria grant to implement a series of #maternaljournal sessions, art journaling for women in their final trimester of pregnancy and who are approaching the complexities and joys of parenthood. I am passionate about increasing the number of art interactions that my community have, to increase community vibrancy and cultural richness.
