1949 St Helens MerseyideI spent many years teaching in an inner city school in Liverpool and have now taken early retirement and a change of direction in life. I have moved to Hampshire, set up my studio and I am now developing my art work.I would describe my style as eclectic, I produce work in a variety of styles and media - abstract and figurative, oils, watercolours, acrylics and mixed media.I take my inspiration from the natural world and the human form.I also work in clay and make carvings in soapstone.I am now selling my work and taking commissions.At the moment I am building up a collection of work to exhibit.

I was trained as a teacher at CF Mott College in Liverpool.I studied painting and graphics.I achieved a Distiction for my final exhibition,
